Our projects extend to cover pre development works such as paper search and desk top assessments, the archaeological components of Environmental Impact Statements, pre-development impact assessments, archaeological testing, survey, monitoring and full excavation when required.
We undertake the advance archaeological work necessary at large-scale urban developments as well as drainage and renewal schemes. We are involved with projects for the new road and service infrastructure such as national roadways, gas pipelines, electricity transmission routes, water schemes and industrial sites for the National Development Authorities. We also conduct many projects for private developers.
In addition we also service the development sector and smaller local and rural development initiatives. ADS is active in both Northern and southern Ireland, we have been working for many years with cross border initiatives assisting groups with heritage projects and new development programmes.

As with all our projects, the results of this type of work are produced in high quality report and book format that contribute to increased local heritage awareness. Our activities also extend to servicing state heritage departments on a range of contracts and projects.
ADS participates in the on-going development of Ireland’s natural resources. We conduct archaeological work for both the local port authorities and the Department of the Marine and Natural Resources, where new facilities for the country’s shipping, fishing and tourism industries are underway. We are engaged as archaeological consultants by Bord na Móna, looking after the archaeological aspects of the harvesting activities on their extensive peat fields. We have also been contracted to carry out pre-development work on a number of wind farm projects throughout the country.
As a company we conduct all our activities with a highly skilled team, working from office and field bases equipped with excellent technical and practical support.
We offer a first class service and we intend to continue to do so, to adapt and evolve, in response to the changing needs of our clients.
We have offices in Dublin, Belfast, Sligo and Kells.
