WHO
This specialised osteology course is for students of archaeology, anthropology, and related disciplines. It is an excellent introduction to the study of human remains in archaeology.

HOW
Option 1 consists of a series of lectures and laboratory work. Students will have the opportunity to examine and identify different types of bones and discover the wealth of information they contain.
Option 2 is designed to give the student a broad understanding of Irish Archaeology with illustrated lectures and field trips to inspire those with an interest in Ireland’s past.
WHEN
Option 1 runs from 13th-24th July 2009.
Option 2 runs from 27th-31st July 2009.

RESOURCES
The course will be led by Laureen Buckley, one of Ireland’s leading osteologists.
The course is based at our purpose-built post-excavation facility in Kells, Co. Meath. The premises include dedicated areas for research, lectures, and laboratory analysis, and are fully furnished with storage, canteen, washrooms and reception facilities.
ACCOMMODATION
Self-catering accommodation is included in the fees, however, it is possible to upgrade to Hotel or B&B accommodation at extra cost. Please see booking form for further information.
ACADEMIC CREDIT
University accreditation is pending.

COST
Option 1 €2,100 includes self-catering accommodation and tuition.
Option 2 €1,400 includes self-catering accommodation and tuition.
